OUR SERVICES
Community Active & Wellbeing offers a variety of services designed to cater to the diverse needs of the community:
- Stronger Hearts - Advanced Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Disease Prevention Classes (Phase 4)
Supporting individuals living with heart conditions through tailored exercise and education sessions that promote long-term heart health and wellbeing. - Heart Health & CPR Workshops – In partnership with the British Heart Foundation, these interactive sessions combine RevivR™ CPR training with cardiac disease prevention education. Participants learn lifesaving CPR skills and practical strategies to reduce cardiovascular risk through lifestyle, nutrition, and physical activity.
- Menopause Workshops– Empowering women to manage the physical and emotional changes of menopause through education, movement, and peer support.
- Qi Gong Tai Chi for Wellbeing - Gentle, mindful movement sessions designed to improve balance, coordination, flexibility, and inner calm.
- Coffee, Walk & Talk - A relaxed, social activity suitable for individuals managing a range of health conditions, promoting both movement and connection.
- Baby & Me - Exercise and support classes for new parents, offering a welcoming space to rebuild fitness while bonding with their baby.
- Les Mills Born to Move - Fun, energetic sessions designed to get pre-schoolers and their parents moving together.
- Online Support Groups - Dedicated spaces for individuals with health conditions, parents, and families to connect, share experiences, and access wellbeing resources.

Free Community Sessions

Thanks to grant funding and local partnerships, some of our programmes are completely free to attend.

These sessions are designed to support individuals and families who may face financial barriers to accessing health and wellbeing activities.

Examples include taster classes, family wellbeing events, and selected projects for older adults or vulnerable groups.

Hayley makes each class enjoyable and worthwhile with joints and muscles positively responding to each exercise. There’s always a touch of humour too and every new attendee is warmly welcomed. I certainly enjoy giving up a little time to improve my well-being and general health."
